Rai Collectables started from humble beginnings at the Sunday Canning Vale Markets in Perth, Western Australia. Founder Saf Kassim rediscovered his old trading card collection from his nephew gaining an interest in collecting Pokémon TCG in 2016. Several months later, Saf’s strong interest of re-collecting cards had begun. A few years after the COVID-19 pandemic, it then sparked the idea of starting a business with the help of his friend Mitchell who designed the logo. This strong passion for collectables led to Saf being accepted into APM's SEA Program, in which he then graduated with a Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business.
As a business, we always try to create an experience that brightens the day of each of our customers, as we strongly believe that “every interaction matters”. The word “Rai” comes from one of Saf’s favourite Pokémon as a child which was Raichu. In Japanese, the word “Rai” means “lightning” but it also means “trust” which is why our customers trust us that we always provide them with the highest quality of cards and collectables.

What made you join Rai Collectables?
I started off designing the logo for RC then really wanted to help out with the Rai Collectables social media accounts.

My PSA 10 LeBron James Contenders.

Shooting hoops, collecting shoes and working on content such as music and YouTube videos.

The best thing about Rai Collectables is being able to help, and watch it grow as a business.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a billionaire.
If you could choose one super power what would it be and why?
Teleportation, so I can travel anywhere instantly.
